The Varsity Match is an annual competition between the karate clubs of Cambridge and Oxford Universities. In the match, which is usually held in February, two men's teams and a women's team from each university compete in kata, team kata and kumite for the three team titles and the overall trophy, the Enoeda Cup.

Despite Oxford insisting that this years varsity match be held the day after Central Regions, Cambridge were assembled in Oxford and ready for action at 3pm on Sunday.
This was a bruising encounter between an Oxford team who were better prepared than any previous Oxford team and understandably had high expectations. Sadly for them the expectations of Cambridge were much higher and thankfully so was their execution.
After a thrilling match Cambridge won and captured the Enoeda Cup for the 10th consecutive time. This is a unique achievement.
Congratulations to all those who participated but in particular Scott as president and Jonny and Ellen as captains who spent many hours preparing for the competition.
Many generations of CUKC members have only experienced triumph over Oxford and long expect this to continue.
